Letter to future students

Dear Future Stylist,
I fell in love with hair at a young age—just 12 years old—when I first realized how much I loved creating, shaping, and transforming. Even then, I was drawn to art and creativity, and hair became my canvas. But what truly captured me wasn’t just how it looked… it was how it made people feel. The confidence, the glow, the transformation—it was powerful.
What started as a passion quickly became my career… and over time, my purpose.
After graduating from cosmetology school, I had the incredible opportunity to continue my education overseas with Vidal Sassoon and Toni & Guy. That experience changed everything for me. It opened my eyes to a much bigger world—one filled with endless creativity, elevated standards, and a deeper level of skill.
More importantly, it sparked something in me: a love for education and growth.
Because this industry isn’t static—it’s always evolving. And that’s what makes it so exciting.
As I continued to grow behind the chair, I also began to see beyond it. I wasn’t just doing hair—I was envisioning something more. I saw the kind of environment I wished existed: a strong team culture, a higher level of service, and a space where stylists felt supported, inspired, and truly connected.
That vision led me to open my own salon—creating a place where both stylists and clients could experience something different.
At the same time, my life was evolving in beautiful ways. Becoming a mother shifted my perspective, and this career gave me something I never expected—flexibility. I was able to slow down, work just a few days a week, and still maintain a career I loved while being fully present for my family.
That’s when I realized… this industry can grow with you. It doesn’t have to be one path—it can be your path.
From there, I continued to expand—opening a wig and topper boutique to support women experiencing hair loss, while also mentoring and educating other stylists along the way. But through all of it, I kept seeing the same thing:
So many new stylists entering the industry feeling unprepared… lacking confidence… unsure of how to truly succeed in a real salon environment.
And I knew something had to change.
That’s why I created this school.
Two Twenty Academy was built to bridge that gap—to give you more than just the basics. Here, you’ll learn real salon skills, elevated client experience, and the business knowledge it takes to build a lasting, successful career.
Our program is designed to prepare you not only for licensure—but for real life behind the chair, in a modern salon, with real clients and real opportunities.
I am deeply passionate about helping you step into this industry feeling confident, capable, and supported every step of the way.
Because when you love what you do—and you’re given the right tools, guidance, and environment—it can truly change your life.
And I would be honored to be a part of your journey.
With love and belief in your future,
